My take? More of the same.
If the truth hurts, you're living wrong. |
Doesn’t matter whose story you read, even the liberal apologetics at CNN will say it. “But even as it trims deficits, the president's budget would add $7.2 trillion to the debt held by the public between 2012 and 2021.”
Keep reading. More pain on the way for those in denial. |
The president's REAL plan - to become all-powerful |
Reminds me of Hosnea Mubarak in Egypt, except he did resign. But Hosnea also had massive numbers of people willing to die to get him out of office.
I wonder how much worse it will have to get in the United States until we have citizens in Washington willing to die to get a government which is accountable?
What does it mean to you?
A recent poll was taken of American people. Almost all want the budget restored to fiscal accountability. Almost all favored cuts.
The area the vast majority supported cutting? Foreign aid.
We can eliminate ALL foreign aid and not make a dent in the budget. A slight scrape is all that would amount to. It’d be putting a Band-Aid on a severed artery. Got the idea?
I just happen to like this photo. |
As the poll progressed, the results proved what I have known all along. The vast majority of those responding to the poll said “cut anywhere but on the things that matter to me.”
Defining “accountable” in those terms means the budget will never be balanced unless taxes are raised to the point where more than half our incomes go to fund government services. And yet, those people clamoring for a more “accountable” government reject this idea vehemently. Yet, they are not willing to make the sacrifices and take the pain needed to get to what their stated goals are.
Ok, maybe not your heart. But we are asking you to hurt for a while. |
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:8
Could be wrong here(but I'm not), but I seem to recall a rather pointed doc some crazy revolutionarys wrote, jeez, a long time ago, that said something about the people's right to change their government. Chriminy, what was the name of that missive...oh, yes, I remember now, the friggin DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE...Sorry, I git emotional.
