Gotta get this out Out OUT

A young man I have known for more than 5 years was arrested yesterday. He is accused of possessing child porn in his computer.

His parents have got to be mortified.

I know this young man. I've seen him, been to church with him, observed him, led him. I just have to believe there is more to the story than is being presented (or at least told by) the media reports so far. Considering the media which HAS covered the story so far, I will not be surprised if it all turns out a giant lie.

I am confident there is more to this story than I am being told.

Yet, I am reminded of reading the news story some years back of a good friend who pled guilty to molestation charges. I was floored.

As law enforcement officers tell me "You just never know."

I still believe there is more to this case. Has to be.

I checked the vote a few moments ago. Austin Scott voted to reauthorize the Patriot Act.

I can forgive one mistake, albeit this being a seriously major mistake. I did not vote to send Austin, who is my personal friend, to Washington to continue to infringe upon my rights.

We shall see. If Austin remains true to what he promised, I will continue to support him. But if he votes again against the interests of the American people, I will work to see him removed from office.
